What happens to your data
You can ask us to delete your account at any time. Some of what you did in a world stays, because other managers played those seasons too — so here is exactly what goes, what stays, and what stays without your name on it. It is written here rather than in the moment you ask, because that is the only time it is useful to you.
Deleted
Gone completely, and nothing in the game depends on it:
- Your email address, your password and any way of signing in
- Sign-in links, sessions and anything else that could let somebody in
- The security data we keep to spot people running several accounts — addresses, device fingerprints and the scores built from them
- Your settings: language, theme, and the preferences you chose
- Your inbox, and the reports written for you while you were away
Kept, because it is not only yours
A season with a hole in it is wrong for the eleven other managers who played it, so results stand:
- Match results, standings and box scores
- Transfers you completed, and the audit trail that proves what was paid
- Which club you held, and when — the same record every other manager in that world has of you
Kept, without your name on it
The record of what happened survives; the person is removed from it:
- Your manager name is replaced by a permanent placeholder, so every mention still points somewhere and none of them points at you
- Your career record, honours and head-to-head results keep the placeholder instead
- Your public profile page is removed
How to ask
Write to us and we will do it. There is no button for it yet — during the closed beta an operator runs it by hand, and the law gives us a month to answer. The same applies to asking for a copy of everything we hold about you: we build the file and send it to you.
The one exception
If an open investigation names your account, the evidence is held until that case is closed, and then the erasure runs. We will tell you if that applies to you.
